Sore back, neck, hip, knee, feet? A painful ride takes the joy out of riding your bike. And most of the time it can be avoided just by having the right fit. Injuries from cycling also often result from a muscle imbalance which can easily be corrected through a good fit.

Gain extra speed and power without the blood, sweat and tears it takes to get it through extra training. Maximise your real potential by being aligned with your bike and positioned to get more power out of every pedal stroke.

A proper aero position will literally shave minutes off your PB times and this doesn't just apply to Time Triallers or Triathletes. Aero is just as important for Road, Gravel, MTB or the social rider who is just aiming to keep up with the pack.

If you get numbness, the weight distribution and pressure points on the contact points, ie. Hands, Butt or Feet may need looking at and a bike fit will help determine the position corrections needed to alleviate the issue.

Do your glutes, hammies or quadriceps get overloaded and sore? If your not balancing out the contribution of different muscles, then fatigue may slow you down when other muscles are still fresh.

Most people buy a new bike because of the experience it will give them and the enjoyment of riding with an upgrade. Sometimes this investment can be substantial in the thousands so the small cost of a bike fit to ensure you are correctly fitted, will only enhance the long term enjoyment.

Brett's experience goes back more than 40 years in the sport with the pinnacle of his success winning the Olympic Gold Medal in the Madison in Sydney 2000. He has since acquired the highest level of coaching experience in the World - UCI Level 3 - and been the Head Coach of SA Sports Institute (SASI) from 2013 to 2026. He coached the Australian Men's Track Team in 2022 including Commonwealth Games and World Champs as well as National Junior Road Teams at World Champs in 2023 and 2024.

After a long career on the National Team and racing professionally, Brett completed bike fitting courses in BG Fit with Specialized, RETUL and Shimano Fit System as well as a UCI Level 3 component of bike fitting in 2019 in Switzerland. He has also spent countless hours fitting high performance athletes alongside the best biomechanic and aerodynamic experts in the Country for SASI and National Team High Performance Athletes.

In the last part of his career at SASI, Brett was able to get significant insights into the cutting edge of aerodynamics in the sport through direct access to the Australian Centre for Sports Aerodynamics wind tunnel. Putting this to good use, in his last race as the official SASI Cycling Coach, his Junior State Team Pursuit team broke the illusive 4min barrier, the first for any State Junior Cycling team in the Nations history. If you want the cutting edge science of how to get an aero advantage, Cycle2fit is your doorway to inside information that very few get outside the top echelon of the sport.
